Miami Marlins slugger Giancarlo Stanton has right side soreness and was out of the lineup Wednesday at Tampa Bay.

“There was a little bit of this going on in spring training at different times so at this point I’m not really that concerned,” Manager Don Mattingly said.

Stanton is hitting .214 with 12 home runs and 26 runs batted in.

Outfielder Christian Yelich didn’t start for the fifth consecutive game because of back spasms. He is batting .320 with five home runs and 20 RBIs.
