Bill Belichick has won five Super Bowls. LeBron James has claimed three NBA championships.

Put the two together and what do you get? A near disaster.

Belichick and girlfriend Linda Holiday had terrific seats under one of the baskets Wednesday night at TD Garden to watch as the Boston Celtics hosted the Cleveland Cavaliers. Just weeks after leading the New England Patriots to victory over the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI, the coach received a hero’s welcome.

But early in the fourth quarter, James lost his footing under the same basket, ran over a cameraman and almost right into Belichick.

Luckily, the Cavaliers superstar knew better than to take that guy out, especially in that arena, and was able to pull up at the last second.

“I definitely slowed up because I knew it was him,” James said after the game. “I’m not taking no legend out. I’m not doing that. I need to keep seeing him win. That’s pretty cool for me.”

There seemed to be no hard feelings from Belichick, who was seen entering the Cavaliers’ locker room after the 103-99 Boston win.
