James Harden’s triple-double leads Rockets past the Spurs

James Harden had 24 points, 15 assists and 12 rebounds as the Houston Rockets held off San Antonio, 101-99, on Wednesday night to hand the Spurs their third consecutive home loss.

Kawhi Leonard scored 34 points for the Spurs but missed his final jump shot, which could have tied the score.

LaMarcus Aldridge, who had 14 points, also missed a tip-in attempt at the buzzer.

at Golden State 116, Dallas 95: Klay Thompson made his first seven shots and scored 18 of his 20 points in the first quarter, when the Warriors built a 19-point lead and never looked back.

at Charlotte 104, Utah 98: Kemba Walker scored 21 points and the Hornets won their fourth consecutive game. Marco Belinelli and Frank Kaminsky each had 13 points as Charlotte’s bench outscored Utah’s, 41-20.

Toronto 112, at Oklahoma City 102: DeMar DeRozan scored 37 points for the Raptors, who shot 51.8% from the field and have won four of their last five games. Russell Westbrook had 36 points for the Thunder but committed eight turnovers.

at Washington 118, Boston 93: Otto Porter scored a career-high 34 points and the Wizards cruised after jumping to a big first-quarter lead. Porter had 20 points in the first half. Isaiah Thomas led the Celtics with 23 points.

at Atlanta 115, Chicago 107: Thabo Sefolosha scored 20 points and the Hawks won their third game in a row. Jimmy Butler finished with 39 points for the Bulls, who have lost four of their last five games.

Minnesota 123, at Orlando 107: Zach LaVine scored 37 points, Andrew Wiggins had 29 and the Timberwolves won their first road game. Minnesota led by as many as 30 points in the first half.

at New York 110, Brooklyn 96: Carmelo Anthony scored 14 points in the third quarter and finished with 22, Kristaps Porzingis had 21 points and the Knicks climbed out of a 14-point hole.

at Indiana 122, Philadelphia 115: Paul George scored seven of the Pacers’ 13 points in overtime and finished with 28. His basket with three seconds left in regulation tied it, 109-109.

at Phoenix 107, Detroit 100: Eric Bledsoe scored 21 points, 14 in the fourth quarter, to help the Suns rally. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope had 27 points for the Pistons.
