U.S. scores its fastest goal in World Cup history, Twitter goes crazy

For weeks U.S. coach Jürgen Klinsmann has been playing down expectations for the U.S. team in the World Cup, telling fans not to expect a trip to the final match.

It wasn't something U.S. fans were used to hearing.

Good thing captain Clint Dempsey gave fans what they were looking for within the first minute of today's game against Ghana.

It was the fastest goal the U.S. has ever scored in the world cup, according to ESPN.
