Watch Danica Patrick’s boyfriend wreck her car in race [video]

Danica Patrick and Ricky Stenhouse Jr., the NASCAR drivers as well as loving couple, got together on the race track at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Sunday night, and it wasn’t in a good way.

During Lap 319 of the Sprint Cup Series Coca-Cola 600, Stenhouse drove his car into the side of Patrick’s car, causing her to collide with Brad Keselowski’s vehicle along the wall.

In other words, this was no love tap. The cars of Patrick and Keselowski were beyond repair. Stenhouse was able to continue and finished 14th.

Kevin Harvick won the race when he pulled away from the field on a restart with 11 laps left. Kasey Kahne finished second, followed by Kurt Busch and Denny Hamlin, who was running in his second full race since returning from injury.

Originally Keselowski took the blame for the accident. “I was three wide with Danica and didn’t know it and I cut her off and wrecked her and myself,” Keselowski said in a television interview afterward. “I feel bad for her and I send my apologies to her.”

The video tells a different story, with Stenhouse’s No. 17 car bumping Patrick’s car as she and Keselowski were running three wide heading around Turn 3.
