Colorado Rockies shortstop Jose Reyes was arrested on suspicion of assaulting his wife on Halloween in a Maui hotel room, according to multiple media reports.

The 13-year veteran and four-time All-Star is reported to have grabbed his wife by the throat and pushed her into a glass balcony door at the Four Seasons Resort. Katherine Ramirez reportedly told authorities her husband injured her thigh, neck and wrist. She was taken to Maui Memorial Center.

Reyes was arrested for abuse but is out on bail, according to reports. It is not clear whether he has been charged.

Hawaii News Now reporter Chelsea Davis tweeted out what she says is Reyes’ police mug shot.

According to NBC News, Maui Police and the Four Seasons Resort have yet to comment on the alleged incident. Major League Baseball said it is investigating the allegation.

The Rockies released the following statement Monday night:

“We were extremely disappointed and concerned to learn of the allegations involving Jose Reyes. We continue to gather information and will address this matter appropriately, in accordance with Major League Baseball’s Joint Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Policy.”
