Rams waive defensive back Eric Patterson
The Rams on Wednesday waived defensive back Eric Patterson.
Patterson, who played at Ball State, was signed to the Rams practice squad in October 2015 after stints with the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts.
He played in one game for the Rams last season.
In March, the Rams lost cornerback Janoris Jenkins, who signed a free-agent contract with the New York Giants. But they added Coty Sensabaugh to a cornerback group that includes Trumaine Johnson, E.J. Gaines, Lamarcus Joyner, Marcus Roberson and Troy Hill.
The Rams did not select a cornerback in the draft, but they are expected to evaluate several undrafted free agents beginning Friday with the start of rookie orientation.
