Share

Cycle through vertiginous mountain passes on a high-intensity bike tour through northeastern Vietnam. The 10-day tour, offered by Ride & Seek, will take riders to the remote Ha Giang area along the Chinese border that until recently was closed to visitors.

Cyclists will have an opportunity to interact with local hill tribes — there are 22 ethnic minorities in the region — and bike to the towns of Sapa, surrounded on all sides by mountains, and Dong Van, known for its traditional Hmong homes.

Rides average 60 to 100 miles a day and include challenging climbs.

Dates: Oct. 16-25

Price: From $3,350 per person. Includes accommodations, breakfasts, most dinners, guides, bikes and helmets, van support, luggage transfers and private tours.
