TAKING IT EASY Getting around is simple: two feet or four wheels (as in a golf cart). It’s sightseeing at its simplest but most striking.

BY FOOT

On Little Corn, I took a spectacular one-hour walk from Casa Iguana’s beach at the southeastern end of the island — a sign on the property points you there — along the shoreline, to the northern end of the island.

There is no marked path until a sign points the way to Derek’s. I strolled along the sand, drinking in the white-sand vistas to my right and jungle foliage to my left. I climbed over wave-drenched rocks and past windmills. The hike was easy, other than negotiating the sand.

BY CART

The best way to see Great Corn Island is by golf cart. For $31, I tooled around the island for three hours, past grazing horses on an ocean cliff, Anastasia’s snorkeling reef and most of the island’s hotels and best beaches.
