The Ducks are the walking wounded as the regular season winds down.

Goalie Frederik Andersen has a concussion, which headlined several injuries or illnesses announced Friday morning, before the Ducks played the Vancouver Canucks. Andersen sustained the injury in the second period of Wednesday’s game, and Ducks Coach Bruce Boudreau did not know exactly how it happened.

Center Rickard Rakell had an appendectomy and will be out about a week.

The Ducks also announced that left wing David Perron will be out until late April or early May with a separated shoulder. They are already without defensemen Kevin Bieksa and Simon Despres because of upper-body injuries as they chase the Kings for the Pacific Division crown with six games remaining.

“The one thing you can’t do is have a pity party and say, ‘Woe is me,’” Boudreau said. “We sit there and another guy comes in and his job is to do as well as the guy before him.”

The Ducks recalled forward Chris Wagner and goalie Anton Khudobin, who will back up John Gibson. Defenseman Hampus Lindholm is ill and was sent home Friday morning, Boudreau said.

Rakell was scratched with illness Wednesday, which later determined to be appendicitis. He is the second Ducks player to have the procedure this season after Ryan Getzlaf.

“That’s doesn’t happen too often,” Boudreau said. “I don’t know what’s in the water out here, but …”

Wagner signed a two-year contract, the team announced.
