Makin Fast Cash Goes for Fourth in a Row

Makin Fast Cash, who has won three in a row for trainer Jose Flores, will try to keep her roll going in tonight’s $18,000 Jade Cove Handicap at 350 yards.

A California-bred daughter of Rakin in the Cash, Makin Fast Cash will break from the outside in the field of six as she tries to continue a streak that started Sept. 6.

Makin Fast Cash won against $20,000 claimers by 1 1/2 lengths that night, then won a $13,000 handicap Oct. 24 before taking an allowance race as the 1-2 choice Nov. 23.

In her most recent victory, she set a track record for 220 yards, completing the distance in 11.64 seconds.

Shots in the dark: Really K N Te gets jockey Guillermo Gutierrez for her debut in the seventh. Farm City Rip, who has won five of seven, makes her Los Alamitos debut in the ninth.
