Tuesday’s bowl game: Arkansas vs. Ohio State in Sugar Bowl
TUESDAY’S BOWL GAME
Sugar Bowl
When: 5 p.m. PST.
Where: Superdome, New Orleans.
On the air: ESPN.
About No. 7 Arkansas (10-2): Led by Ryan Mallett’s arm — which has the Razorbacks third nationally with 338 yards passing per game — Arkansas has been one of the best teams in college football’s toughest division. It finished second to unbeaten Auburn and has won six games in a row since losing to the Tigers in October.
About No. 6 Ohio State (11-1): One of three one-loss teams in the Big Ten Conference, the Buckeyes missed out on the conference’s Rose Bowl invitation because Wisconsin was rated higher in the Bowl Championship Series standings. The key: Can the Buckeyes’ No. 2-ranked defense slow the Razorbacks’ passing attack?
Watchability: 4 stars out of 5.
