at No. 6 Texas 63, Baylor 31: Colt McCoy set a Texas record with six touchdown passes, and the Longhorns (6-1, 3-0) recovered from an early 10-point deficit to roll over the Bears (3-4, 2-1) at Austin. McCoy’s sixth scoring pass, a 50-yard strike to Limas Sweed in the fourth quarter, broke the school record of five held by James Brown (1994) and Chris Simms (2001). McCoy finished with a career-high 275 yards. Sweed and Billy Pittman each caught two touchdowns.

No. 21 Nebraska 21, at Kansas State 3: The Cornhuskers (6-1, 3-0) converted two fourth-down plays, one on a fake field goal, to spark them to victory over the Wildcats (4-3, 1-2) at Manhattan. Nebraska ended a four-game road losing streak to Kansas State and won the 800th game in the program’s history. Kansas State had not lost at home to Nebraska since a 39-3 defeat on Oct. 5, 1996. Nebraska’s defense gave up only 19 rushing yards.

at Colorado 30, Texas Tech 6: The Buffaloes (1-6, 1-2) ended a 10-game losing streak, and Coach Dan Hawkins earned his first win after defeating the Red Raiders (4-3, 1-2) at Boulder. Mason Crosby had three field goals, including 56- and 53-yarders. Crosby has 12 field goals from 50 yards or more in his career, and it’s the third time he has kicked two of that distance in the same game.
