Snoop Dogg’s son offered football scholarship by UCLA

Share

When Diamond Bar High tweeted that sophomore wide receiver Correll Broadus was offered a football scholarship by UCLA, it probably went unnoticed by most Bruins fans.

But take a closer look at that last name. Broadus. That happens to be the real last name of his famous father: rapper Snoop Dogg.

Of course, it’s still early. Broadus is a sophomore, after all, and there is no word on whether he is even contemplating accepting the offer. Still though, the son of Snoop Dogg playing at UCLA? Someone check, do the Bruins have a natural grass practice field?

If he accepts the offer and one day makes the team, Broadus can be a teammate of Justin Comb, the son of Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is expected to play defensive back for the Bruins next season.

Snoop Dogg is a USC fan and is often spotted at practices and games. Is this just a gambit by the Bruins to boost their celebrity quotient by luring Snoop Dogg to their games?

Time will tell. In the meantime, we can only dream.
