USC football: Trojans will rotate more on defense against Notre Dame

Share

USC gave more players opportunities on offense in last week’s victory over Arizona, a trend that will move to the defense on Saturday against Notre Dame.

Interim coach Ed Orgeron said more players would rotate in against the Fighting Irish.

Lineman Antwaun Woods and linebackers Jabari Ruffin and Anthony Sarao are among those who could play more to help rest starters.

That opportunity, Orgeron said, raises practice performance.

“More guys are into it,” he said. “The accountability factor is much higher.”

USC has not lost to Notre Dame at Notre Dame Stadium since 2001.
