Foothill High School (6-0, 15-3) demonstrated the style of play that made it the Century League’s No. 1 team, beating Santa Ana Valley, 75-35, Saturday at Foothill.

The Knights took a 23-1 lead over the Falcons in the first quarter, due in part to an effective, full-court press. Knight guards Stacy Barnes and Jennifer Osur combined for several fast breaks following Falcon turnovers.

Foothill’s Felice Geddy had five steals and nine assists, while reserve center Becky Sullivan contributed five rebounds. Jennifer Osur scored 21 points, and Barnes had 7 rebounds along with 18 points. The Falcons (3-3, 5-7) were led by guard Kathy Smith with 15 points.
