The stepfather of a 4-year-old Palmdale boy who died after he was severely beaten was arrested on suspicion of murder. Akbar Abdul Shahid, 24, was arrested after the death of Michael Tucker. Deputies said the injured boy was in a coma when a family friend took him to Palmdale Hospital. The boy, suffering from multiple blows to the head, stomach and legs, was later transferred to the Antelope Valley Medical Center, where he died.
