Perez Stops Alonzo in Third Round

Irleis (Cubanito) Perez of Santa Ana defeated Rocky Alonzo in a scheduled-10 round lightweight boxing match at the Irvine Marriott Hotel Monday night.
Referee Chuck Hassett stopped the fight at 2:45 of the third round because Perez had knocked Alonzo down for the third time in the fight.
