In girls soccer, Beverly Hills junior halfback Stacey Koff made the first team, and three of her teammates were on the second team: freshman forward Venessa McClendon, sophomore halfback Roxanna McClendon and sophomore fullback Katherine Caulfield.
Other second-team selections: boys soccer--Beverly sophomore fullback Guillermo Kahan and Culver senior fullback Steve Barzalai; boys basketball--Beverly junior forward Wayne Thompson and Culver junior guard Henry Johnson.
Bill Studley of Bel-Air Prep was named the most valuable basketball player in the Westside League.
Local players named to the All-Westside League first team were Steven Hobb and David Gottleib of Yeshiva University High and Franco Frisan and Dana Pump of Bel-Air Prep.
Second-team selections included Yeshiva’s Steve Croman and David Harrison and Bel-Air Prep’s David Pump and Dana Gustafson. Honorable mention went to Yeshiva’s Josh Pretsky and Steven Weiss, Bel-Air Prep’s Jesse Enghdal and Fred Pakin of Clearview.
