Third baseman Bill Bluhm hit a solo homer in the second inning and a three-run homer in the third inning to lift College of the Canyons to a 10-4 non-conference win at home over Moorpark College Friday.
Bluhm’s season total of 10 home runs ties the school record set by Keith Ritchea in 1981 and gives him 16 for his career--also a school record. Bluhm also had a single to finish the day 3 for 3 with 4 runs batted in.
Sophomore Chris Pollack allowed just one run and four hits in the first five innings to even his record at 2-2 while Steve Crecion allowed three runs--one earned--in the final four innings for the save.
