Mt. SAC Wins Men’s, Women’s Track Titles

The Mt. San Antonio College men’s and women’s track teams won their respective crowns at the South Coast Conference track championships Friday at Santa Ana College.
The Mounties’ men’s team scored 197 points compared to second-place Santa Ana’s 131 and Orange Coast’s 96. The women’s team had an easy time, scoring 216 points compared to Orange Coast’s 97 and Fullerton’s 72.
In the men’s division, both Mt. San Antonio and Santa Ana won seven events. The Dons’ Walter Steen won the 100 meters in 10.67 and was also a member of Santa Ana’s champion 400-meter relay team, which won in a time of 41.70.
