What’s So Marvelous About a Beating?
I was greatly disturbed by your headline and accompanying photo; “A Marvelous Fight--And a Marvelous Finish.” I suppose you were doing a takeoff on Marvin Hagler’s name, but I don’t see what’s marvelous about a man being beaten until he’s nearly unconscious. The 16,000 people attending evidently think it’s great fun to watch a man bleed and get punched repeatedly. Am I the only one who finds this “sport” a sad, sad thing?
