Add UC Riverside to the list of teams that have had problems hitting Kathy Slaten.

She pitched 12 innings Tuesday against the Highlanders and recorded two victories--including a no-hitter--at Cal State Northridge.

In the opener, Slaten tossed her third no-hitter--16th in three seasons--and struck out 11 as the Lady Matadors won, 4-0.

Slaten (31-7) came back to strike out three in five scoreless innings of the nightcap, which CSUN won, 3-0.

Northridge scored in the first inning of the second game on a RBI single by designated-hitter Nancy Lucero. CSUN added two more in the fifth on a single by Lori Shelly, a triple by center fielder Barbara Jordon, and a single by shortstop Linda Lowande.

CSUN (15-3, 49-15), which placed third in the Libby Matson Invitational Tournament last week against NCAA Division I competition, has two California Collegiate Athletic Assn. games left prior to the NCAA Division II tournament.
