As the bicyclist was being helped from the road by a second rider, a car driven by Andrea Thomas, 21, of Inglewood slowed to avoid the accident. Her car was struck from behind by a car driven by Javier Moreno, 19, of Inglewood. A passenger in Moreno’s car--identified as Angela Elaine Vasquez, 19, of Inglewood--was thrown through the windshield and killed.

Collins was being held at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Pacific Division Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail.
