Villanova Prep Buries Simi Lutheran

Larry Paul, Robin Williams and Chris Huber combined on a one-hitter as Villanova Prep trounced Simi Lutheran, 22-0, in a Southern Section Small Schools wild-card playoff.

While the trio of pitchers totaled 11 strikeouts, Brian Held drove in four runs with a pair of two-run singles as Villanova earned a date with Liberty League champion Oakwood on Friday.

Simi Lutheran’s only hit was a leadoff Texas League single to left off Paul in the second inning.
