Races Are On for 10 Berths to Los Alamitos’ Kindergarten

Eighty-six juveniles seek the 10 berths to the $660,000 Kindergarten at Los Alamitos tonight as the 350-yard dashes have filled the evening’s card.

Southwest invaders Juana Mystica, Rocky Jones and Sticks and Stones have been supplemented to the trials at a cost of $11,700 after impressive showings in futurities elsewhere and will challenge such promising youngsters as Solvency, Call Me Parr, Life Styles, Stars In Her Crown and Victory Dash.

Juana Mystica has already won a trio of futurities this year while Rocky Jones and Call Me Parr come into the trials with unblemished records in four and two starts, respectively. Life Styles suffered her first defeat in four outings when upset by Stars In Her Crown in the Leo Handicap.

Solvency will make his first start since finishing second in the Bay Meadows Futurity in April while Victory Dash, an impressive maiden victor May 18, is a full brother to Dashs Dream, the sport’s World Champion last year.

The Kindergarten and Consolation will be decided June 15 with the second 10 fastest qualifiers making the field for the Consolation.
