A woman who told Santa Monica police that she shot and fatally wounded her husband at his request has been charged with one count of murder by the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office. Sybil Marvin, 61, told police she shot her husband, Donald Marvin, 71, with a 25-caliber pistol because she is terminally ill and he did not wish to survive her. Marvin is being held without bail pending arraignment in Santa Monica Municipal Court.
