2 Homes, 3 Cars Destroyed by Fire
A fire, apparently caused by an electrical malfunction, destroyed two homes in the Burlingame area of San Diego Monday morning, according to the San Diego Fire Department. The residences were not occupied at the time and no injuries were reported.
The fire began shortly before 10:30 a.m. at the home of Michael Benson, 1938 Bancroft St., and spread next door to the home of Marie Kellenberger, 1932 Bancroft, neighbors said.
Both homes and three cars parked in the area were destroyed.
