Earl Kelley, a high-scoring guard on the University of Connecticut basketball team, pleaded no contest to a disorderly conduct charge stemming from threats against two fellow students last April.

Kelley entered the plea under a plea bargain in Vernon (Conn.) Superior Court. Judge Eugene Kelly then sentenced Kelley to a three-month suspended jail term and put him on a year’s probation.
