Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 17-year-old youth Thursday in connection with slaying Wednesday of a Lemon Grove man, a sheriff’s spokeswoman said.
Deputies did not release the name of the suspect, who is being held at juvenile hall.
He was arrested in Lemon Grove a few blocks from where Bret Fuit, 26, was found slumped over the steering wheel of his car Wednesday night. Fuit died at Mercy Hospital of a gunshot wound to the stomach.
The sheriff’s gang detail is investigating the shooting.
