Golden West Defeats Saddleback in Soccer

Shawn Kirby, Javier Callejas and Pat Penner each scored goals Tuesday to help the Golden West College soccer team defeat Saddleback, 3-2, in a South Coast Conference match played on the Rustlers’ field at Huntington Beach.

Golden West improves to 4-1 in conference and 6-6-3 overall, while the Gauchos drop to 4-2 in conference. Steve Young scored both goals for Saddleback.
