San Diego Volleyball : Loyola Topples USIU

Lori Rodman and Cathy Petrisson combined for 24 kills to lead Loyola Marymount to a 15-12, 15-8, 9-15, 15-9 West Coast Athletic Conference win over U.S. International at LMU Friday night. Loyola Marymount improved to 3-2 in the conference and 10-9 overall, while USIU fell to 2-3, 8-12. Nancy Dome had a match-high 17 kills for the Gulls and teammate Claudia Johnson added 16.

Pepperdine 3, University of San Diego 1: In another WCAC match, the Toreros (0-5, 0-19) lost their fifth straight league match. Shawn Sturgeon had 11 kills for the No. 20 Waves (5-0, 13-11). Gina Trapletti had eight kills for USD.
