Stalder to Meet Fedderly in Tennis Final
Curt Stalder of Irvine will play Mike Fedderly of Costa Mesa for the men’s singles title of the $6,000 Southern California Teaching Pro Tennis Championships at 11:30 a.m. today at Laguna Niguel Racquet Club.
Stalder advanced by defeating Sean Brawley of Pacific Palisades in Saturday’s semifinal, 7-5, 6-0, and Fedderly advanced when Gui Fritz of San Diego withdrew in the second game of the second set.
In women’s singles, Linda Mallory of Laguna Niguel will face Katherine Keil of Los Angeles in the final at 10 this morning.
Tony Trear and Mark Tappen will play Charlie Fischer and Eric Quade for the men’s doubles title at 2:30 p.m.
