Lazers Play Sting in Home Opener

The Lazers will play host to the Chicago Sting in a Major Indoor Soccer League game tonight at the Forum.

It will be the home opener for the Lazers, who have lost their first two games of the season--to the Dallas Sidekicks, 7-5, and to the defending MISL champion San Diego Sockers, 3-2.

Against Chicago, the Lazers will have to deal with Karl-Heinz Granitza, who was the league’s second-leading scorer last year with 64 goals and 53 assists.

Defender Gus Mokalis and forward Batata lead the Lazers with with three points apiece. Mokalis scored both of the team’s goals against the Sockers.
