UC Irvine Clinches PCAA Water Polo Title

UC Irvine clinched the Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. water polo championship with a 10-6 win over Fresno State Sunday at Irvine.
The Anteaters got two goals each from Tony Bell, Brett Del Valle and J.R. Salvatore. Goalie Mark Maizel made 13 saves.
Fresno (6-5, 12-15) handed UCI (10-1, 21-6) its only conference defeat when it beat the Anteaters, 9-6, earlier this month in Fresno. No. 3 Irvine finishes its conference schedule with a match at UC Santa Barbara.
