Crenshaw’s Thompson Chooses Syracuse
Stephen Thompson of Crenshaw, the City scoring champion last season with a 28.2 average, signed a letter of intent Tuesday night to play basketball next season for Syracuse, the second major guard the Orangemen have successfully recruited out of Los Angeles this month.
“It had been one of my favorite schools for a long time,” said Thompson, who also had Duke and Louisville under final consideration. “When I visited the school, I liked it a lot. I thought I could fit in there. Plus, they play the style of basketball I like, pressing a lot of the time and moving up and down the court.”
