Fullerton Tournament : Becker Leads Santa Barbara to Easy Win Over Southwestern

Armando Becker scored 19 points Thursday night to lead Santa Barbara City College to a 101-69 victory over Southwestern in the first round of the Fullerton College Invitational Tournament.
The Vaqueros will meet Fullerton College at 6 tonight in one semifinal while Long Beach City, an 84-67 winner over West Los Angeles Thursday night, will face Grossmont in the other semifinal at 8 p.m.
In the consolation bracket games today, San Bernardino will play Southwestern and Cerritos will meet West Los Angeles.
In Fullerton College Invitational Tournament women’s games:
Fullerton 79, Cerritos 69--Sharon Lyon scored 28 points and Stacy Rooney added 17 to lead the Hornets into tonight’s final against Golden West.
Golden West 78, Moorpark 74--The Rustlers defeated the Raiders to advance to tonight’s final against Fullerton.
Taft 91, San Diego Mesa 55--Leesa Agent scored 19 points to lead the Cougars into tonight’s consolation championship game against Pasadena City. Monica Bradley scored 26 points to lead the Olympians.
Pasadena City 57, Long Beach City 55--Prene Martinez scored 18 points for the Lancers, who will meet Pasadena City tonight for the consolation championship. The Vikings’ Cynthia Robinson led all scorers with 26 points.
