SCC Defeats Bethel for Third-Place Finish

The Southern California College basketball team won the third-place game of the four-team Lions Club Classic tournament at Cal Poly Pomona Saturday, beating Bethel College of Minneapolis, 90-84.
The Vanguards (2-1) were led by forward Jon Haar with 16 points. The Royals’ Craig Kuffel had the best all-around effort with 17 points and 11 rebounds. The Vanguards’ next game is Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. against La Verne at SCC.

Halftime--SCC, 43-36.
