Singles, Doubles Teams Advance to the Girls’ Tennis Round of 16

Four singles players and four doubles teams from Orange County earned berths Saturday in the CIF Southern Section Girls’ Tennis Individual Round of 16, which will be played Dec. 5, at the Racquet Club of Irvine.

Debbie Graham (La Quinta), Carrie Crisell (Marina), Noelle Porter (San Clemente) and Dorey Brandt (Sonora) each received byes in the first qualifying round Saturday and then won two matches at Heritage Park in Irvine.

The doubles teams of Jenny Weaver and Stephanie Urricarriet (Fountain Valley), Simone DuChesne and Leslie Ryan (Newport Harbor) and Natalie Hastings and Erin Hendricks (Estancia) each won two matches after receiving first-round byes. Stacey Belkin and Naomi Iseri (Westminster) won three matches to advance.
