Hilltop Basketball Tournament Starts Today
The ninth annual Hilltop Invitational Basketball Tournament begins today with four games scheduled at Hilltop High School.
Hilltop will play Torrey Pines at 1 p.m. in the first game, followed by Point Loma vs. Kearny at 2:45, defending tournament champion Sweetwater vs. Mira Mesa at 4:30 and Hoover vs. Chula Vista at 6:30.
The tournament will continue next week with games on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. The final is
scheduled for Dec. 14.
The tournament uses pool-play format with the teams split into two divisions. Chula Vista, Hoover, Kearny and Point Loma are in the Green Division, and Hilltop, Mira Mesa, Sweetwater and Torrey Pines are in the Black Division. Division winners will play in the championship game.
