Northridge Women Defeat UC Davis, 82-74
The Cal State Northridge women’s basketball team advanced to the finals of the Sacramento Tournament on Friday with an 82-74 victory over UC Davis.
Freshman guard Vicky Mallett came off the bench to lead the Lady Matadors in scoring with 15 points.
“Vicky really sparked us,” CSUN assistant coach Paula Moran said.
CSUN (4-0) had four players score in double figures and shot 55% from the field. Regan O’Hara had 13 points, Denise Sitton had 11 and Renee Loch added 10. Sacramento made only 22 of 70 shots from the field, but made 30 of 40 free throws.
