It was the Spurs’ sixth straight game without starting point guard Johnny Moore, who remained hospitalized with non-contagious meningitis.

Phoenix 114, Seattle 97--Larry Nance scored 27 points and James Edwards 25 to lead the Suns over the SuperSonics at the Seattle Coliseum in the completion of a game that had been suspended Sunday night because of a leaky roof.

Referee Mike Mathis halted Sunday night’s contest with 10:48 left to play in the second quarter when water started dripping onto the court from the Seattle Coliseum’s ceiling. He deemed the conditions unsafe for the players and halted the game.

No other game in NBA history has ever been suspended in mid-play.

Sacramento 106, Washington 87--Reggie Theus had 16 assists and 17 points at Sacramento as the Kings won by their biggest margin of the season.

Theus, an eight-year NBA veteran, tied his one-game assist record, and the Kings won three games in a row for the first time this season and improved to 12-22.
