Pedestrian Dies After Being Hit by 2 Cars

A Studio City woman was killed after she was struck by a hit-and-run driver, then run over by a second hit-and-run driver as she lay on a North Hollywood street, police said.

Feryal Sahin, 30, was hit by the first car at 5:25 p.m. Wednesday as she crossed Moorpark Street near Elmer Avenue, Los Angeles police investigator Bob Ockey said. The second car hit her moments later, he said.

Sahin had gone to a nearby park with her son and husband and decided to walk home ahead of them, police said. She was in the crosswalk when the first car struck her, throwing her about 75 feet, witnesses told police.
