Orange County Prep Basketball Roundup : Foothill Wins Its 14th Straight, 65-41

Foothill High School guards Robin Welch and Felice Geddy scored 16 points apiece to lead the Knights to a 65-41 win over Santa Ana Valley in a Century League girls’ basketball game at Foothill Saturday. The Knights are 5-0 and in first place in league. Foothill has won 14 straight games and is 15-1 overall.

Foothill led at halftime, 30-26, but the Knights outscored the Falcons, 23-9, in the third quarter.

Becky Sullivan scored 14 points and had 11 rebounds for Foothill, and teammate Stephine Fleischaker added 10 points and 15 rebounds. Cathy Smith scored 14 points and Soloi Tavita added 10, but it was not enough for the Falcons (1-4, 6-6.)
