Keith Byars, the Ohio State running back...

Keith Byars, the Ohio State running back whose senior year was disrupted by foot injuries, underwent surgery at the Hughston Sports Medicine Hospital in Columbus, Ga., and is expected to be able to play professionally next fall.

Byars broke a bone in his right foot on Sept. 2, before Ohio State’s first game.
