Appleberry Scores Record 47 in Defeat

Center Derwin Appleberry scored a school-record 47 points and pulled down 13 rebounds, but Christ College Irvine lost a close game in Fresno Saturday night to West Coast Christian College, 79-75, in a Western Christian Athletic Assn. game.
The Eagles’ Tim Surridge added 11 points and 8 rebounds. Christ College is 2-1 in conference and 14-5 overall. West Coast Christian is 3-0, 13-5.
