USD Women Beat Santa Clara, 48-45
The University of San Diego women’s basketball team earned its eighth straight victory Saturday night, rallying to defeat Santa Clara, 48-45, at the USD Sports Center.
USD is 7-0 in the WCAC and 13-7 overall. Santa Clara fell to 2-5 and 9-12.
In other WCAC games:
U.S. International University 77, University San Francisco 73--Sonya Carter had 27 points and 12 rebounds to lead USIU at Grossmont College. Toya DeCree had 13 points and 7 rebounds for the Gulls, who are now 7-0 and tied for first place in the WCAC with USD.
USIU is 17-5 overall. USF is 1-6 and 10-11.
