Mission Viejo Girls Advance
The Mission Viejo girls’ basketball team advanced to the quarterfinals of the CIF Southern Section 3-A playoffs Thursday night by beating Riverside Poly, 57-45, at Mission Viejo.
The game was originally scheduled for Wednesday night but was postponed when the officials failed to appear.
The South Coast League-champion Diablos (24-3) were led by Michelle Reid and Lori Totosz with 13 points each. Riverside Poly ended the season at 19-5. Mission Viejo faces Louisville at 7:30 Saturday night at Crespi High.
