Chapman Beats Fresno State in Tennis

John Soldat and Olivier Amerlinck led Chapman College to a 5-3 victory over Fresno State Saturday in the Michelob Lite-Nevada Las Vegas Invitational tennis tournament.

Soldat defeated John Soto in the No. 2 singles match, 7-5, 6-2, and Amerlinck beat Eric Seigle in No. 3 singles, 6-4, 6-2. The pair combined to defeat Jean LeCler and Chris Gerety in No. 1 doubles, 6-3, 6-4.

Chapman is 3-1 in the round-robin tournament and 8-4 overall. Fresno State is 4-3 overall.
