Europe’s governing soccer body banned FC Cologne from playing the second leg of its UEFA Cup final against Real Madrid at its home stadium because of unruly fans, the West German sports news agency SID said.

In a dispatch from Zurich, Switzerland, the agency said UEFA ruled Cologne must play the May 8 match at a stadium 210 miles away from the city. The first leg is scheduled for April 30 in Madrid.
